Over a five month period, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in my roots and explore my ancestral culture through a lens. As a second generation ‘Britisher’, it was a surprisingly upward slog to relearn the language and integrate into the alien society of rural India. It didn’t take me long to realise it was me who was the alien, and as I assimilated, realised I had broken through the ruse of being a tourist and was living an authentic experience. This book tells the story of my time, mainly in quite remote settings, through a series of portraits of the beautiful people I encountered along my journey. From school productions to fair grounds or even just roaming around the village.
Well played and good luck lad. Tanzania photo with the guy on the bike is quality
