Preserving Potential

A handmade display book for the market stall of a social enterprise who create preserves from food destined for landfill (yet perfectly fine to eat) by the wasteful retail industry. The double sided dos-a-dos construction means that the spine is an ‘S’ shape and can be read as two separate books combined. It boasts the story of the venture on one side, with a chutney recipe book on the other, along with loads of information about food waste squeezed in.

It was also one of a few pieces that was hand picked for display at Leeds Gallery, for an exhibition called ‘The Future in Their Hands’:
